What do you think? The board was especially made for me by a friend in Germany.

Sorry, I just linked the pics from the test forum of bimmerboard. Maybe you have no access to the test board. I will post them once more on the normal bimmerboard and then make a new link.
Edit: now I linked that to the normal E32 board on bimmerboard. Pls let me know if it works. Otherwise I have to download all the pics again.

Very good work Shogun. You ought to start selling them.

Can do. They are made by my friend in Germany in his factory. he is specialized in boards for special applications such as the electronic controls for the heated gloves for motor bike riders and similar stuff.
He will produce the "internal" stuff like the board and the LED. People have to remove the "innards" by themselves.
See my website under Jon Evans. He was the first one who made a glovebox light with LED and a rechargeable battery. I refined it a bit 2 years ago with a smaller battery, so that the original switch could be used too.
BUT, be prepared to pay for this mod more or similar than you have for a new standard flashlight from BMW.
We just count the material and his working time. He tested several weeks with various capacitors and finally made the design of the board etc.
Well, I knew it was more expensive than one from the parts rack at BMW, but no one has it and it made fun to develop it.
Scroll down on this page to see more pics on Johans page when I made the first version

the evolution of the flashlight is cool.
How long will the various flashlights run from the 2F caps?

In the test phase we used a 1 F Goldcap. With that the LED was burning 15 minutes, and was still having capacity.
Within 5 minutes it is fully recharged. The new board is layed out for 2 Goldcaps each 1 F. Have'nt tested it yet how long it lasts. Of course a normal rechargable battery might last longer, but that is not that fancy ;-)
And for sure the capacitors will last longer than a rechargeable battery.
