Does anyone happen to know in which month in 1989 the e34 was launched? I am sifting through the top gear episodes, so far i am at episode 5 of 1989 trying to find their road test of the e34.

Well, given that top Gear is european (british) the E34 was launched sometime in 1988 in europe. Most likely late 1988

I am sifting through the top gear episodes, so far i am at episode 5 of 1989 trying to find their road test of the e34.The ETK shows parts for the e34 starting in 1987... not sure when- look something up to find out... I think it is more likely to have been released in Europe in mid to late 1987, it might not be unreasonable to guess that they may have continued making e28s during the time as they geared up e34 production- the bodyshell is so different it was probably built on a whole new line... and as you all know no e34s seemed to have made it to the US before 1988. :) Nick

Top Gears been on UK television since the 70's but it's only really since Clarkson arrived that it got interesting.
