235/40R17's on 17x8" wheels- they'll fit right?

offset is et18 or et20 (not sure which wheels I'll be using, they're both 17x8" replicas). Car is a '92 525iT with stock suspension. I don't know think there should be any fitment/rubbing issues, but I'm looking for confirmation of this.

It will fit. But you might want to use 235/45/17 tires and I have no rubbing issues. Standard M5 wheels are 17x8 and et20

235 45 17 is the correct fitment witht closest to original o/a diameter
