i'm looking for an obc for my 93 525i. most of the ones on ebay say that they work for 89-92. is this true? they look the same as the one in my 93, will it work?
Here's something from Bruno's web page on this mod.

I plugged a 95 into my 92. Works fine. One of the pins didn't +12V, had the PPP error, so needed to make a jump.

Some smaller engined cars (like mine) need a coding-plug to be fitted inside the type IV OBC From the Stealer,--Not hard, Instructions on the web,-- I was quoted 25 quid plus tax for a plug that contains 0.98 pence worth of eeprom!
Cars with the high-end inst panel dont need the plug--It gets its info from the Inst panel.....
