I'm trying to upgrade the radio (BMW Bavaria C Professional RDS) in my e34 (525ix touring -94, a private import from germany). The connectors are the same as shown on this page (http://www.bmw-540i.com/1995-540i-cd-changer/index.php). I bought a wiring adaptor for the big 17-pin connector, but then I noticed that the connector in the car doesn't include any of the pins for the speaker outputs! (Pins 1, 2, 3, 6, 8, 11, 12, 14). Besides the big connector, there's the small 10-pin connector for the CD changer.
What I don't understand is: where does the sound go from the radio? I can hear it from the speakers, so it does go somewhere... :) But there's no wires! Unless the radio uses the CD changer audio pins as outputs... but they're supposed to be inputs for the radio, right?
