Alright guys,
Looking at a 2002 330CI convertible.
My first request is a CARFAX report for this VIN #WBABS53492EV88756. The car is being sold by carmax. Now, I admit, carmax wasn't my first choice for an e46, but it has exactly the options that I want, has 49,202 miles, and looks in great condition.
The car has 49k miles, so its just barely still in factory warranty. This is important because I might be able to purchase an extended factory warranty, not that I definitely will, but I can.
It has Xenon lights, sport package, 5 speed, 1 CD in dash, grey metallic, grey leather interior, black top, all 4 new tires, ///M wheels (standard on the sport package, not M3 wheels)
Has a slight vibration. Told them I absolutely would not buy the car with a vibration, but it might be in my head (it does have the 17in wheels, which contribute more to road harshness), so they said they would check it out. Thats my 1 major concern.
My parts from BMA haven't arrived today, which is not cool, because I wanted to get my clutch problem solved so I can finish this ordeal.
So my other question is if anyone that works at a dealer could get me some dealer records, but if they're too long, thats fine, I don't want you to have to scan like 50 pages, just a summary would be cool. You don't even have to scan a summary page, just "holy crap this car had its trans replaced twice" or "this thing has never seen dealer service".
Thanks a lot guys. You may now commence flaming me for my e46 desire. :)
