In the past I remember posts about leatherique and alkaplus and some other seat treating method. bimmerd00d just told me it wears off and looks like crap pretty quickly. What do you guys do to your seats (in avg/good condition w/ no rips) nowadays?

I treated my seats with some doc martins shoe grease(oil?) that had been hanging around my house for a long time. It contains beeswax and other harmless, non-dying ingredients. I could see the leather being revitalized and scratches and abrasions disappear as it went on and from then on they felt smooth and supple.

Pure lanolin cream.
Rub it in well, leave for a few hours and then wipe of excess with a clean cloth.

There is a company in the uk called "Gliptone" that does leather restoration kits. You get a bottle of cleaner, leather feed, a large bottle of base dye, and several little bottles of tinter to match the dye to your seats. I bought a black colour kit for an E30 i used to have and it was fantastic. It filled all the little creases and worn patches etc and lasted for the 18 months i had the car. It costs around £25 a kit and comes in loads of colours. The kit is called "scuffmaster". Go to www.liquidleather.com. You won't be dissapointed!

Leatherique made a dramatic difference in my 944 Turbo, and six months later when I sold it they still looked great. Just did my 540 and it softenened them up a bit, we'll see how it holds up. Way better than the Lexol stuff though.
