Instrument light randomly on/off

Hi.

The instrument light turns off sometimes when I put the turning signal on, and after a short time it comes on again. Can be turned off w/o touching any switch too and randomly turn on again. Helpes sometimes to turn light off/on/off/on/off..

Have put in a new instument light dimmer 60W, and removed and refitted the connectior on tha back of the light switch. Will install a new light switch tomorrow but have a feeling it's doesnt make any improvement.

Also the trip ( km meter that can be resetted ) will sponataniousy reset it selves at some engine startup.

Can it be a supply voltage drop somewhere?
Or any hint / tips?

Still have this "challange"
Got the bently manual yesterday and found a great site at http://www.e38.org/e34/ with a lot of wiring and electric troubleshooting.

and the park lights are not, the problem is in the light switch or its surroundings (before dimmer whell). If Park lights (right side) are also involved, the problem is in fuse F5 and its surroundings. Do not trust fuses just by looking at them, specially when you have intermitent issues. If sunroof switch/park lights are not involved, then the issue is at dimmer switch and its surroundings.

If the light of the dimmer switch itself is not involved, then the issue is located in the wire comming out of the dimmer switch towards the lamps being the problem. (Gray/Red wire).
