My driver side low bean headlight went out 2 days ago on my 95 540. I changed the bulb to no effect. Is this likely the LKM issue? It seems my car is too young to have LKM problems. No other symptons are showing.

you operated the low beams. Resoldering the LKM will do no harm, take special care on circuit board paht junctions between pin 2 and pin 21 of connector X12 (left side isn't it?).

check the wires leading to and into the headlights themselves, i have a problem with one of the wires going into one of my foglights.

For this particular problem. It seems like this problem is eperienced by cars 14 years and older. Mine has also "only" 95k miles on it.
