hi i bought a proformance chip for my 535, has anyone got any comments good or bad before i fit it please? :p

Depends on what chip you got. Most people here will recommend the E.A.T or Dinan ... Other brands might be good as well, but if you bought one of the el-cheapos off eBay or something like that ... it is probably not something you'll benefit from much.

its a claimed +18-20bhp +18-20ft/lbs of torque raise revlimit 400rpms no speed limiter???

Those are clones of other chips that some guy sells on fleaBay.
Sometimes he changes the maps a bit.

just to clear things up a little the trade name is 'proformance'

How much did you pay? I would press on with putting it in and see how it performs. I've had an Authority chip and a JC chip in my car and both of them performed pretty much the same. So maybe this Proformance chip will work good too. As the other folks mentioned the EAT chip is an excellent chip too. The Dinan chip is good too, but from what I've read you have to be careful because in some year/models it doesn't give the performance boost in the lower rpms where you really need it.
