Been a while since I posted , Bimmers at 124k now and still a beauty.
Came accross this yesterday and I cant wait to try it!!!

I tried this back in 1980 / 1981 on both a high compression 2002, and on a turbocharged 2002tii. I concluded that it was easier to add 20% or so avgas, and the results were better. Toluene is also very carcinogenic, as they mentioned.

I'd just use higher octane fuel, but you don't need to go higher that 92 AKI for most of my chips which are tuned for 91 AKI, or you may actually lose power, as higher octane = slower burn.
