5.25 speakers in kickpannel- difficult fit or not?

I am looking to upgrade the factory audio system in my 95 530ia. I purchased a set of 5.25 components for the front. Should I be concerned about installation in the stock location? Someone mentioned that just any 5.25 will not work in the kickpannels under the dash. Does anyone have any advise? I assumed that this would be a universal fit.

The stock ones are 5.25", so your new ones will be fine. How big is the magnet on the driver? If it's less than 2", you will be fine. I know because I've installed 6.5" drivers there. Maybe the mounting holes are in different places and you require new nuts and bolts to mount the speakers. cheers
