Hello Mark,
Just a few impressions after putting on about 150 miles on the car.
Friday evening, I decided to run the car thru the ultimate stop n go test, Friday night rush hour plus Happy Hour drive down the 40 mile long beach road along the Gulf of Mexico. I ran the transmission in AD mode the entire time, simulating a "normal" driving session. (Whatever that is)
My average MPH according to the OBC was 24.5 MPH AND MY MPG WAS 19.2!! Air Temp was 72 degrees.
I have never had this high mileage in either the stock chip or the JC engine chip. Keep in mind that I do have Dinan trans chip in the car.
If the car were carbureted, I would say you upped the primary jets and advanced the curve. It's a completely different car.
Your chip along with the new shift points keeps the trans right in the torque range. Stone cold start and pullng out of the driveway, the engine pulls so smoothly and extrememly well and the flat spot that was there with both the stock or JC chip is GONE.
Shift points are around 1800-2000. I'll have a buddy watch the tach while I watch the road.
I'm going to run another tankful thru in this trans mode, then go to S trans mode. That should be interesting.
Bottom line so far: Smooth idling, Smooth power transition, Upped MPG!
ALL THIS IN A CAR THAT I DID NOTHING TO OTHER THAN SWITCH THE CHIP. The inspection II light came on 100 miles ago, It's DUE.
More as we progress.
