Greetings!
The wipers in my '95 525it recently decided to stop working except for high speed (which I understand operates on a seperate fuse). A check of the fuses revealed that #24 was blown. I replaced the fuse, turned the ignition to accessory, and the wipers (all functions/speeds) worked fine. The next time I drove the car, the wipers again did not work. Fuse #24 was again blown. Changed the fuse and once again they work with the ignition on accessory.
Obviously, the wiper motor is OK. I would also think that the relay is OK, but.... What can be changing when I start the car that affects the wipers? Does this have something to do with voltage variation? Maybe a grounding issue? The battery? I'm stumped! Wish this car was as simple to diagnose as my 2002.
Any and all help or suggestions are appreciated.
