OK so i get battery/brake idiot light syndrome running out to lunch today. A bit of squeal from the unit too.
Ugh!!
Ran home a little early so i could get started on the alternator swap this aft and avoid serious traffic
I took the tollway (almost never on the way home, only in the morning) and halfway thru 2nd gear (gotta redline out of the booth :D) i hear a pop and the lights go away. No more squeal.
We had rain of near biblical proportions this morning and the car has no lower splash shields. But i didn’t notice it then.
Put on some splash shields and i should be ok OR is this alternator too questionable.
