I seem to be losing brake fluid in increasing amounts. I can't tell with certainty where it is going, but one thing I noticed is that the overflow resivour feels loose. Does anyone know if the plugs (#2 in the diagram) are available and if they might be the source of my leak.

Yes. I had a brake fuid warning from OBD about a week after i got my 93 525i (July this year). Had a snoop around and found fluid around those bushes, and pushed the resevoir back in properly. No problem or loss since. I did find however when i got under the car it had obviously been happening a while, as some paint on the chassis was stripped and blistered by old fluid. :(
