The E34 535iA is at the end of it's life with me, and I'm looking to trade in on a 2000 323iA. It has 55,000kms and is spotless.
Anything special that I should be watching out for?

It has an auto tranny, ask when was the last time the tranny fluid had been changed. If it followed the "old" schedule of every 30,000, and actually was changed at 30K, then it should be OK. Otherwise, if the owner follows the new "lifetime fluid", change it when you get it (and the differential). However, don't be surprised if you need a tranny at 100K....

roll them up or down is very common. This is a window regulator going bad.
I had to replace the intake cam sensor on mine at 39k miles, the exhaust cam sensor is also common. Lower control arms you may want to check. The final stage resistor on the climate control fails sometimes on these, if the blower speeds all work ok when on climate control then its ok. Headliner clips snap on on the sunroof panel, water pump failures at a higher mileage than what you've got... thats about it for them. Ours has been very good
