Anyone ever done the conversion/retro fit?
Alot of work? Is it even possible? What all is different from teh ASC+T compared to jsut normal with AntiLock's.
Being in Calgary and having snow all the time isn't turning out to be as much fun as I thought it would be, too worried about hurting the baby :( I figure I should look into the ASC+T or trade up for one with it.

I would not try to start that project. For your built year it was even not available.

Would be easier, and preferable, to fit an LSD diff. The limited slip only allows a certain amount of difference between rear wheel speeds, so you'll never get stuck with one wheel spinning as you will with an open diff.
The ASC just reduces engine power until traction is regained (debateable benefit, and you can do this yourself), and the +T brakes an individual wheel to allow only a certain difference between rear wheel speeds, thus imitating the effect of a LSD.

Yes but ASC+T would help more to keep traction say turning a corner on ice or so. As antilock won't hit until you hit the brakes, ASC+T will manage it if the tires become rotating at different speeds.

If you lose traction going around a bend, ASC+T will leave you **** out of luck, it's a fairly basic system, and only works on the drive wheels to control wheelspin under power.
To help maintain stability on corners etc, DSC can help, but that only becomes available around MY2000 I think.
