E34 Driveshafts....

Do all E34's have the same driveshafts? Will the one from 525 fit 535 or '95 540?
How do you physically tell if one is for manual or auto transmission?

They are different. Automatics and manuals use different shafts too.

Check out www.realoem.com you can play around with it a bit, enter different cars with different transmission and see all the different part numbers. You can also check www.bavauto.com they sell rebuilt driveshafts with replaceable u-joints (these are available elsewhere- it's just that bavauto has more info than most on their website- application data, etc).
