The owner is a member of our car club. There was an article on his venture into drag racing back in 2004. Obviously has a lot of cash to throw around

A lot of cash? The modifications probably cost more than the car. Have a read over at bimmerforums. He gives a lot of **** to the USA dudes becasue they can't come near his quarter mile times and they claim a lot higher horsepower figures from their cars.

Why get a M30? I hope you realize that there are E36s with your motor ('92 non vanos) making 750+ horsepower running 10.7 sec quarter miles...
Food for thought ;)

Would it not be easier to get the horsepower from the big six? http://servo.postverket.us/alex/BMW.pdf I believe we have one on our forum as well.

Alright let me know when you sell your motor. I will buy it.
Reason?

M50B25 non vanos. This is what mine will look like sooner or later... except with a supercharger as well.

753rwhp.
Why!?
Seriously, what can you do with 750 that you can't do with 500 (besides embarass a Gallardo above 180MPH)?

Um, break into the low 10's or high 9's.
Research it up. E36's with <650 hp/tq are in the 11's still.
Also. You can go to a dyno shootout, and dyno 753rwhp - knowing you have probably 900 crank horsepower.
Theres really no justification for it except that the difference between 500 hp on an M50 and 750hp on an M50 is about $150 for a larger wastegate and different compressor housing.

Re: 1/4 mile times, I guess if that's your thing, okay.
Re: $150 for 250hp, okay, I get it now. :)
Will it still be streetable?

Yes. There's about a $75 - $100 price difference between a Tial 38mm wastegate (for like 500 hp) and a Tial 44mm waste gate (700+) and another $100 or so difference for a larger AR housing for the turbo... still streetable...and street legal, etc.

How often do you drive the car? I can't imagine what it would be like to have 750hp under my right foot.
Is it loud? What have to spent to come this far? Could it be used as a daily driver?
I'm dying to learn more about your car, Jon.
