I am adjusting my valves and replacing my spark plugs along with giving my valve cover a nice black wrinkle finished paint with the raised parts sanded off.
The reason that i am replacing the spark plugs is that 1) They are bosch platinum. and 2) The tiny platinum electrodes are worn down so far that there is a black hole in the ceramic where the electrode is supposed to be.
My question is, are the "Bosch Super" W8LCR the plugs i should be using? I also read something in the archives about threads pulling out of the head when the plugs are torqued to spec, is this true?
I plan to set the valves to .012 all around as per specification.
Since i dont have to drive my car until January 3rd, im not in any hurry.
