One of my colleagues at work - South African so he knows no better - bought a perfectly servicable 1602 on Ebay for £900.
He then proceeded to "improve" it with the following mods:
Ford Cortina 2.3 V6 engine with the original 3 speed slush box :p .
One piece prop shaft.
3.45 diff.
BBS alloys (the only mod I thought worth fitting).
The cost of these mods was £2500.
So, he now has a BMW/Ford costing £3400 that doesn't start, probable value £300!
There is a photo attached - I shopped out the number plate as I feel sorry for him.
