The Inspection II checklist includes "Replace ASC+T filter. The Bently manual doesn't include details and a search did not list any mention of this in previous posts.
Can some confirm: 1) Is there a filter, (2)where it is located and (3) how to replace?

Had the same problem a few years ago. My mechanic didn't know about a "ASC+T filter", neither did the dealer. Bentley says specifically there is no maintenance to ASC+T system. It must be a mistake in the checklist.

That PDF is very helpful. Do you have the one for Inspection I?
Is an "inspection" the same as a tune-up?

Here is the .pdf for inspection I. Looks OK, but then so did the Inspection II which included "replace ASC+T filter", which we now know dosen't exist.

Inspection is really a big pile of crap in my opinion. You check 80 percent of those things every time you get in your car anyway ...

Thanks Bill, I have been wondering for some time if earlier 5 series had a filter on the ASC. Your factual and courteous responses are always appeciated and most welcome.

Bill R. - any chance you can re-post ASC+T diagrams that you posted?
For some reason (thank you Mr Bill Gates!) they're not displaying on my PC. Maybe, as this is quite an old post, the diagrams have been removed to save server space. Apologies if it's just my PC being daft!
