A rare blue one is available for sale locally, tempting....
Only found a couple of these in CarDomain. Same shape, hard-top as this one:

What do you guys reckon ?. Sell my E34 sedan for the Alfa ?. Only thing hold me back is that the Alfa is a front-wheel drive car!. All other vital stats looks good 200HP turbo-charged V6 engine and killer Pininfarina looks, but hideous rims.....

My advice is to keep your E34.
I have owned and worked on both Alfa's and Fiats.... they are NOT engineered to last anything like an E34!

I once owned a nice Spider 1300 GT Junior. Nice driving, nice engine, but a lot of corrosion on that car. Well it was built around 1970 and at the time I owned it it was about 6 years old only.

So I guess I am still waiting for the 968 or the 89 E30M3....
BTW, the 916SC Alfa has chassis galvanized like the E39 and its hood is KMC plastic I believe. That V6 engine is almost the same as the JTS. Darn it, its STILL front wheel drive....:(

I had a red 67 duetto in college, but today, I think this would be the alfa I would want

Do you not have sufficient problems in your life now? Find a nice older Alfa for a weekend ride, keep the BMW.....

Im seriously into my Alfa`s..Have been for 25 odd years..
I had the choice of my 2001 156 with 3.8l 24v coversion(240 wheel hp)or my 535 for my holiday to KZN coast-round trip of 1600 odd km..
My 535 is running fantastically and Im enjoying my holiday..No problems at all.
The Alfa??When I want to beat up a c55 AMG I drive that..(or an e46 M3..)
Have to agree with John in CT.(Cape Town???)

Get a Fiat Coupe Turbo instead. More reliable, rarer, and 25% more powerful.
And Chris Bangle designed it! (take that FWIW).

True, that generation GTV looks awesome, but it isn't. Still, I'd be tempted, I admit. But only if you have another car as backup :)

Nope!. Not with cars at least. My sedan M20 E34 used to be a tract car but has been retired from that for 2 years, so thinking of selling it.
I also got a 95 E34 Touring which is very nice with manual tranny and done up to tip-top shape.
Been looking for a replacement for the sedan once its out of my driveway. Only the 968 or E30M3 would prompt me to switch in a heartbeat.
The Alfa is 98 model and it has 20K miles in pristine condition. Its not an eighties Alfa, but it is STILL front-wheel drive!!!. Arrrgh!.

Italian cars = rust, oil leaks, deteriorating ulpholstery etc. etc.
Even look at Ferraris, Lambo's, Maseratis with a few years on them.
They really turn to shite.

Ok Ok guys, I am off it already. Front-wheel drive make me nuts, darn torque steer on power exit is just a bit much for me... FWD is NOT for me.
