Hey Guys. I was installing my satellite radio and it worked perfect (pic's will follow when it's done) I hate seeing wires, so I picked up an extension and ran that to the back of my cigarette lighter. The unit worked perfectly and all of a sudden it just stopped. None of the fuses appear to be melted or broken. What number is the fuse for the cigarette lighter?? Everything else in the car works perfectly. (By the way, when I opened up the fuse box, I saw that # 8 was missing. What is 8 used for??) Thanks so much guys.

Fuse 8 is not used in mine either. Verified by Bentley.

Could be 5 or 18 or 21 or 26. Sorry I could be more exact. You really gotta get a Bentley.

Are you running an FM Modulator or a direct wire ?

Direct wire.

Any noise problems ? My XM whistles a ton on direct wire through the head unit. I am looking into a. a ground loop isolator or b. rewireing the power for the unit.
What did you end up doing for power ?

Well, for power I wired the cigarette light power supply to the rear of the cigarette lighter socket. And I do use the FM Transmitter, I didn't realize. I will post pics of the finished product tomorrow.
