Yeah I had 2 radios and now I have 0.
Story behind it is, don't try to swap faceplates :D I think I killed the ribbon cable on the bmw faceplate. Who the hell uses a ribbon cable on a faceplate? Screw you bmw
Anyway, this is what I need, plain ol stock radio, just need some noise in my car.

The hell do I fit this ribbon cable back in?

I can't seem to get it. I need some really really small pliers that bend sideways or something.

It's a typical ribbon cable connection. You should have to force nothing. On each side of the black connector there a release. If you trip the release with a small screwdriver or something, the ribbon cable pulls out of the connector.
To re-attach the cable, you need to make sure the releases are "open" and then slide the cable back in. Snap the releases down.
That should do it.
I'm not sure why you'd need some pliers - can you explain?

2 broken ribbon cables later. I didn't realize this! Well I need a new radio, or another good faceplate :)
