I am just looking to buy one and am curious to know if anyone has such a car and loves it.
Thanks.

You mean a Calypso exterior and a burgandy interior? I'm not sure such a combo exists on an E34.
I have a Calypso / Tan E34, and like it a lot, though personally, I would have rather had black/black or black/tan.

I love my Calypso Red but I'm not so happy with the white interior. I'm thinking of dyeing it black or dark grey with Leatherique.

Yep. I have always called it ruby red, but it is basically burgundy. Natural tan interior. Mark D. chipped, K&N'd, M wheels 17" w. Yokohama AVS's.
Needs a little detail work but it in great shape for 125k miles.

I have a weinrot 89 535im, with a tan interior. And my father-in-law has a Calypsorot 94 525ia with grey interior.
Both colours look great, only a small difference between the two reds.

Well it’s not an E34, but it is a bimmer.
I love how it looks.

Think it is one of BMW’s better colors, not as rare as some of the blues, but not common either.
For more of the 3er look here -> http://homepage.interaccess.com/~motria/rolf.html
Also have the SE-R in a burgundy, Ruby Pearl in Nissanese.

Again, it is a shame we cannot find pictures of Quentin’s ride. I think Calypso 5ers are stunning.
I’ve seen one touring in it. Wow.
Then again there is that electric(?) blue M5 we’ve all seen.

I have a 1991, 525ia. Bought it new in Dec. 1990. First year for this color on the 5 series car. I love the color. I get many compliments about it. It has the Parchment leather interior.
Good luck w/ new car.

Fool! Don't you see he wants your car as raw meat for his evil scheme?
I think Badshift is gonna want some more details about you and your car. If you've ever thought about selling your car, time to think some more.
Psssst! I think he'll give you a good price! But not as good as if you had a 6-speed.

I refuse to be a part of any evil scheme, unless it's one of my own design.
With that in mind, I suppose I'll just have to keep my car for years and years to come to keep it out of the wrong hands, even though it has started speaking to me in my head as I drive... "C'mon, faster. That's all you got? Whatsa matter? Chicken?"
I refuse to submit!
Well, maybe just to pass this one car.....
