Help with 530iT suspension please

I recently put Bilstein HD struts up front on my 1994 e34 Touring (3.0L) and the front end sits about an inch higher now. Is this normal? I triple checked with Bilstein to make sure they were the correct struts.

Yes, I had the same problem with Boge Super Touring shocks. I think it will settle down in a few months. If we used lowering s[rings it would look nice and low but for a touring, I don't fancy lowering.:(

If the lower and upper control arms were loosened to manipulate the strut housings during install, were the body-side bolts retorqued under load?

Do a search for more info -- there's a lot on suspension height.
