Are these bbs (http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/Car-parts-accessories/Wheels-tyres/Alloy-wheels/auction-45288638.htm) wheels ok?Is the extra 12mm width countered by the 7mm offset...do they there sit inboard or outboard compared with 20mm offetwheels??
Do they require rings??

They'll work perfectly - same as my ACS wheels. You will notice that 235/45R17 tires flare a bit at the rim with the wider spec. The extra rim witdth seems to be all outward - inner edge stays about the same as 8" wheels on ET20.
Here they are on the old 535...

My old BBS-RKs 18 inchers were ET13, they fit and rides beautifully. I guess my fenders were already rolled in the rear for 245 width tires. It will rub if not rolled under loading.
