like the ringing of a bell right as the starter dissengauges? could be the starter getting old and slow getting popped by the flywheel, auto m30s kinda ring a little naturally

with a "Russian Roulette" ring gear as a few teeth get stripped out.
I had one and it is no fun turning the ingintion key and hearing just the whine as the starter engages air.

pull the starter, clean it with brake cleaner (where the parts slide and move), let it dry good, then re grease it with something that is comperable with that type of lube.
any more suggestions??
cheers
