View Full Version : ::.. Yet another wheel poll...

A lot simplier this time. Yeah, the center caps are fudged but what the hey :)
The difference in tire cost from 17 to 18 is almost $200 (set) for ultra high performance :|

Get m-parallels.
Lip? Something like this...

Though these in themselves don't really qualify as a full lip...
When I said Breyton Magic... I meant THESE... Breyton IMAGINE:
...now THAT'S a nice lip and wheel!

How about a little deeper still?

agreed.
i voted 17" only because 18's will suck and 16 is stockish. Those particular 17s are ugly though.

Hey Qube. Did I dream this or did you recently say all your spare change was slated for an engagement ring????
Are you going to the same bridal registry that Dave M. got his Style 5s as a wedding present from?

Not looking to the rims itselfs, but just looking to the size of the wheels.
My opion for any E34:
15" to small
16" a bit to small, but occasionally looks great (I got 16" Hartges under my Touring)
17" perfect size! Looks great and still hold the comfort.
18" a bit to big and loosing comfort.
19" way to big!
So I would choose the 17" ;)

Cactur and TWISM-- Check Tire Rack.
You enter the year, model, and color of your car and you can see the wheels on your car.
Gives detailed info on many brands of wheels including the Breytons pictured in your posts. Most replicias are made in Asia and are light and easily bent but Breytons are supposed to be really good.

Hehe. I got my ring a while ago. I've also set aside budgets every month for the upcoming wedding. The wheels are my last ditch effort to buy something without having a scrutinized budget ;) I'm sure some can relate to that :p

Bah the Breyton Magics only come in 18", is there a wheel that looks similar? I really like the thin spokes look, almost Alpina-ish.

Are you sure they only come in 18"?
On this page it looks like they come in 17". I don't know what the deal is that 17"s don't come up for an e34 choice so maybe there is some fit problem, but it is probably worth further research.

Qube annouces plans to get his lady an engagement ring (http://www.bimmer.info/forum/showthread.php?t=16881&highlight=engagement)
I did not dream that after all. So I want to know, is she still waiting for the ring, is it off and you are making yourself feel better with bmw toys, or did you find a bridal registry like Dave's that you can get BMW wheels as a wedding present? And if so, is that just a canadian thing or is there someplace like that for us americans?
You know there is no mercy from my questions.:D

Nonono I got the ring already! Being heckled by Gayle is a milestone :) It means that I am no longer a speck of dust in the forums... more like a pothole in the road now.
Now I have a space of 10 months to get everything I possibly can before I get audited :)

Thanks for the notice Gayle. I'll have to contact tirerack to see if it's really available in 17's. Do you know if BMW center caps would fit in the center?
edit: Bleh, according to the Breyton website the Magic model is only available in 18 and 19 inches :(
