Changed the oil in my 540 this weekend and smelled a little gas in the oil. Is this normal? Should I be concerned? Cause? Educate me please
Thanks

never smelled oil.
Frankly I doubt you can smell it and smell out gas in it...
Though I am as inexperienced as you...

For about 2 weeks my dad kept yellin, JUST TASTE THE DAMN OIL.... and after I finally did it was nothing, but it seems like such a nasty thing, seriously try it sometime you'll say there was no BFD. I guess next thing is tastin the exhaust..
Its no a matter of right oil, its to determine if theres anything in the oil... ie gas or water or coolant
