yeah i think my lucky stars we didn't have to have them, i've seen some 2002s without the front bumper and they look awesome. but i guess people from the US would have gotten used to it. kind of like living next to a abattoir.
on a safety note i read a few statistical road accident studies from monash uni the other day. would you believe that in a couple of them the occurance of being seriously injured in an accident in an e28 is slightly lower than an e34. now thats weird so much for airbags and ABS.......
