Hi
I have quite bad knocking/vibration when taking off with any vigor in 1st and 2nd. My driveshaft centre bearing is particulary 'loose' and floppy. I can grab the driveshaft and move it around quite easily. Is this normal???
In changing the centre bearing, do all driveshafts have the nuts that holds the front part of the shaft onto the main section? I have heard that some are not seperable to get the centre bearing off, at least not without special tools, not sure if this is accurate though.
Finally, can someone describe what is involved in setting the bearing pre-load? I am assuming the only variation in fitting is the fore/aft location, so is the 'pre-load' on the rubber in the bearing?
Cheers.
