I have to replace a leaking hose on my power steering resevoir. This is the hose which connects to the metal line which cools the fluid, so there is only a crimp clamp on each end. I've never crimped these type of clamps before so before I go buy the tool, could you tell me if this is the type tool that I need:

transmission hose by pinching it shut so you don't lose alot of fuel/oil etc while removeing a fuel line for whatever reason.. The clamp criming pliers are different. But very few people ever use the crimp clamps, they usually replace them with bmw screw type hose clamps instead.. In fact when you buy the hoses from the dealer they usually ask you if you want the hose clamps also.

Just don't squeeze any harder than it takes to close the clamp. A friend of mine installs sprinkler systems and put me on to this. He dulls the cutting edge on his, but I just use mine carefully and that way I can also use it as a cutter if needed.

Looks like the easiest way is to use BMW's threaded hose clamp. Thanks.
