Hello all,

I used to own an 89 535 iA before my wife wrecked it. :p Now I'm rejoining the e34 fold with a 92 535iM. She has 154k on her and I want to do a complete fluid change on her. I forget most of what I knew about e34's, so please help me out here with some suggestions on:

motor oil
brake fluid
differential fluid
tranny fluid
blinker fluid :p
Anything else??

Ok, I checked Bruno's site but he didn't get specific for the m30 so......

I run BMW synthetic 5w30 in my e39 540. However for the 535 with 150k miles, I think something heavier is in order. What weight Mobil 1 are you 535 guys running?

Besides that I'm planning on using Royal purple in the tranny and Redline 75w90 with the lsd additive in the differential, unless someone tells me otherwise.

All suggestions welcome, thanks!!

unless you live in hell then you might want to bump it up a grade, this is just my oppinion and others will tell their preferences.

Brake fluid, use what it says on the brake fluid cap. full flush and replace.

Dirrerential is also a preferred thing that I havent gone into yet.

Manual trans juice has a few options that others will chime in about.

id be more inclined to go for a mineral/semi synthetic oil 15/40 because of the miles- gtx magnatec maybe ?

Motor Oil: Mobile 1 0W40 (you can't do better than 0 for cold starting.)
Tranny: RedLine MTL. Try this first, if problems use RedLine D4 ATF
Diff: RedLine 75W90 or 75W90NS, as applicable
Blinker: Do not fill any part of your blinker system with any fluid.
Brake Fluid: ATE Blue or Green
