after a bit of work and utter amazement at the complexity of this thing, I got my foglight switch apart to replace the bulb. Unfortunately, this bulb is of an oddly small shape and soldiered into the switch. I'm wondering if anyone else has replaced this bulb and how they did it. Is this simply a trip to Radio Shack?
Thanks in advance.

Yes, its a simple solder job. I cannot remember exactly the part, but I believe it is called a wheat bulb, or grain of wheat bulb... something like that. I bought mine at local electronics shop and soldered it in. Its a little tricky, but nothing too serious. Try to get an amber bulb as the standard ones are a little whitish (not awful, but not stock).
