Once again, after many years of research (ok, days...) I have decided to order an OEM SSK upgrade for my car. While I know I could order the parts from BMW, understeer.com has an E34 OEM E30 M3 kit already put together. It includes some spacers and bushing that I might not think to upgrade for $75 (probably pretty close to OEM list)

Chris over at understeer also recommended the UUC Derlin Shift Carrier bushings (#7?) and Selector Rod Pivot (12?) Not sure where either of those would go.

Also, while doing this upgrade, Im considering the Cheap WSR listed on understeer's site.

Basically its wrapping the selector rod with 1lb of plumbers solder. Anyone have any experiance? Will the solder end up falling off and mangaling my car!?

Next thing Im considering is a lighted shift knob. Only question there is where to plug the power in? Tap Emergency lights? something in the dash?

And lastly, a clutchstop... I know there are multiple writeups on how to make one for $5 one, but for $20 for the UUC it might just be worth the trouble... Well, that is if it makes a difference. Ive never been in a car that has one, so Im guessing it just shortens the play... is there anytime that could be bad? or a PITA? (bad traffic ect...)
Thanks again all!
