Just finished putting a sub in my 525it. Wanted it to be invisible. Here's a pic:

Makes for a nice improvement for little cost and a completely factory look when the cover is in place.

i'm jealous.. my enclosure takes up almost my whole trunk leaving enough room for a golf bag
lookin good
Maybe a Kenwood WooX would fit in there as well ...

But how does it sound? Does it bottom out with deep bass? Does it sound respectable at a decent volume? How much wattage is running to it.

but I can't.....
Infinity perfect 12
Old school Soundstream 4ch amp for speakers
Old school Soundstream 200 amp for sub
MB Quart x-over units for front speakers
I am making a custom box to fit between the shock towers and wedge up against the seat backs..... Will carpet to match and then use the pullover cargo cover (once I locate a silvergray one) to hide it.

Nice set up. Im deffinately gunna have to invest in Sound deading my trunk as my two 12 infinity perfs. (2400) watts will be pumpin, And as much as id like to plug em into my stock amp theres no way in hell, it would work. Im thinkin of goin for a 2 ch, 600 watt. amp not the greatest but itll do the job. Capacitator is a must.
Cheers

well even if it did i would never hear it.. the trunk on the sedan is like a coffin and it's hard to get sound out of there unless you have a lot of juice. another reason why the touring is sweet.. easy to get the bass into the cabin

blew out the ski pass through and faced the sub up against the opening. The trunk seals so well and the effective enclosure is so large that I got some good clean LOW bass with my old 15" orion.

It's all pretty subjective. It sounds like a very good factory system. Very noticable increase in low-end. But, it's not going to be confused for a pair of 8's or 10's. It definitely doesn't have any slam, but it's a nice low-end and a little bit of extra thump that the 5.25 factory speakers can't come close to producing. It is a sacrifice for not seeing any boxes.
