I have found what sounds like a vacuum leak that sounds like its coming from underneath the intake manifold (using hose to ear device), Since it is very hard to see whats down there. I was wondering what are the prime suspects, seemed to be loudest in between the 3 and 4th intake runners. I am thinking ICV hoses, but to be honest I can't really see stuff all down there so I am wondering what else intake related is under the manifold. What are your thoughts?

Hose 5 in Pic 2 connects to tinny nipple on Part # 9 for pic 1. I guess that would be primary suspect. Mine was in really bad shape because of heat and age of course. There are couple more thin hoses like that, inspect all of them. ICV hose is fat one and less likely to fail. Also check connector part number 9 in pic 1 and replace o-ring (part#10) in pic 1.
Hope this will help.

thanks for your post but the PCV valve is on top of the manifold not below it, I have looked on REALOEM, but really as usual i can't even find the ICV on their diagrams
perhaps i should call my next thread FREE SEX PICS NWS, so more people will actually look at it for once:p

Part # 6
But number 8 in pic here, is connected to part # 7 in pic here

But do you see a tinny nipple on part#7, that connects to PCV (breather connector ) from valve cover. What I am asking to is to check that tube which connects these two and connector O-ring as well.

and below the manifold runners. Thats the top left illustration, the bottom left shows it without the manifold and some of the vacum lines that are attached and where they go. There is also a small vacum line attached to the fuel pressure regulator at the end of the fuel rail by the engine firewall. http://www.bimmernut.com/%7Ebillr/images2/m50icvlocation1.jpg

Rob101, did you take off the intake manifold? I think I have the same issue.
