Here's a step-by-step. Can I ask why you want to remove your car's identity? You don't plan on trying to deceive people people into thinking it's another model are you?

I usually use a hammer and a chisel but you could use a screwdriver too. A blowtorch takes the sticky stuff off when done.

I debadged simply because I think it looks better. I couldn't care less what people think my car is. I'm not out to deceive or impress anyone.

It is not. It is a euro BMW accessory spoiler. They are still available. I don't have the P/N handy unfortunately.

i don't like any badges at all. in fact if i had thought of having the roundels filled in prior to painting my e34, i would have

on my e31 850 i have removed the badge as well as the roundels and put racing dynamics ones in. most people have no idea what the car is

The de-badged beemers in OZ that I've seen have usually been the smallest engine ones (318i etc) and Subaru WRXs who don't want it stolen (hard to hide the bonnet scoop though). When I see a debadged car I usually think that the guy is embarrassed about his engine.

depends, sometimes debadged can look smooth, other times weak. i knew a guy that debadged his e39 540 and tried to pass it off an an M all the time. he was a real chump though.

Like Alan said, I didn't do it because I wanted people to think I have a faster car, I did it because I just think it cleans up the back and makes it look more symmetrical.

Agreed, I just don't like having any numbers displayed, my paint isn't nearly as nice as some of yours, its how I bought it. As someone stated earlier, it just looks cleaner. My priorities for my car are
-new wheels/tires
-new brakes
-fix the stupid rock chips all over the car, mostly the front
-get new front and rear BMW emblems
-get new wheel emblems for my current wheels (the colors are 90% gone)
-removal of model number

Wow, you know Almost every e34 I see has a dent at the trunk, I don't know how it happens, even I have a little tiny one right on the top sorta where yours is but higher and really small and unnoticable.

My most annoying is this string of dents on the drivers door where you know someone parked their car next to it every day in a garage and hit it like 10 times in a row in a little line... Women. I haven't made any of them myself but I try my best at that lol.
