In the guy's defense, this looks to me like "just one of those things". If there was a deer there, I'm not sure how he could've avoided it. A little more skill wouldn't have hurt, but we can't expect every guy to be Mario Andretti, even if he does have a nice car.

P.S. Sometimes age doesnt matter. Anyone can be an idiot, and anyone can be a great driver. While "wise" older drivers may be better than young smart drivers, they are few and far between.

to quote hunter s thompson.... the only way to hit a deer is while accelerating. think about it. if you slam on the brakes, the nose dives down and the deer ****s up your windshield and you could get a hoof in your face. when youre accelerating the nose is up and oh well, one more dead deer, and some minor front end damage.

our cars are low enough that it wouldnt matter either way, if your gonna hit a deer, slam the brakes and duck immediatley.

If there are any lonely hunters around, they, like myself (though not a lonely hunter) would have spotted the white rear end of a deer on the first viewing.
