Concur.
IMHO carbon fiber should only be used in aesthetic applications if the objective is to reference CF used in the car's construction. If the car has no CF in its construction, it shouldn't have any glued on to its body, either.
My second complaint is that that isn't the BMW logo. The logo has blue in it. BMW wouldn't go messing with the colors of their logo, and so neither would I.
Just my two cents. I'm happy with the standard emblem I ordered from Bruno.

In my opinion, a true gentleman does not have carbon fiber bits glued on his five series. That stuff is best left for kids and their E36's.

but i'm a kid so its ok :p. but seriously, i might not be cool with a carbon fiber hood, like you see on hondas. but i've seen carbon fiber/black roundels on a black car and they look really good. it's not necessarily the c/f, it's that it meshes with the coloring of the car.
Fellows... on a white car, I like it, hence I got it :)

Crud, I don't have the gallery picture... but it looks good. Looks like the original gallery is gone.

Since somebody stole my emblem a few weeks ago I have been contemplating on getting a cf red emblem. I'm still debating but I will prolly end up getting one :)
