What's the best source for OE BMW floormats for the E34? Not the rubber ones. The, um, other ones. BMA?

Bavauto sent me some nice black ones with red stitching for like $65

Do they have holes in them for the floor hooks?

Order them from here...http://www.circlebmw.com/parts/acc.htm
Type in your car and search category for floor mats, you should be able to find the original ones there. I think they run about $89 for the plush BMW mats with hold down clips.

Anybody got a good source for floor mat other than BMW? I would like new mats for my F150.
Hope this is not a thread highjack by looks like Jr's last post answered the question.

I'll check it out. It has rubber ones now that are GM brand. I like them. They are just badly stained. That is why I want to replace them. I would like something that has the same heavy quality.

Will do, but I'll hold off 'til spring.
Color choice will be tough. Should I get grey, which I believe is OE for my black interior, or get black, which is a little meaner and will contrast nicely with the grey carpeting?
Here's the best picture I have of my interior. It's hard to tell in the poorly-lit pic, but it has grey carpeting with, at the moment, black OE rubber mats.

Jay, is that leather on the console where your gear selector is? Check out the wood in this Alpina, it would look great in your car..

I like the way the black mat contrasts with the grey carpet. It will also look cleaner much longer.
Not to throw another option out, but BMA had very good prices on the mats when I got mine from them.

I've always thought these looked like a pretty nice alternative, and people seem to love them. Pricey though. Search around and you'll find some pics of them in BMWs...there's an E30 on r3vlimited.com that has them.

You are right. That shift surround it to die for. I want one like that. The door and dash trim in my car is a burl pattern but the shift surround doesn't match and looks like walnut. :( If anyone comes across one being parted out like with a surround like this, LET ME KNOW!

That part around my shifter is actually vinyl, not leather. But I'm doing a transmission swap soon, and I plan to use the M5 center console insert to get this look:

I'm happy with the amount of wood my car has, and I won't be adding more. IMHO it's not sporty enough, and I'm going for a sporty, albeit OE, look.
That Alipina, though, does offer a good pic of grey mats on grey carpet. I think I would prefer black mats on the grey carpet. That seems to be the consensus. Thanks for posting that pic, Alan.
Check out the pic of the Alpina with the night-lit dashboard. I've never seen displays like that for oil pressure, oil temp, boost, etc. Are they Alpina add-ons (I guess the boost level obviously is)? There used to be warning lights and stuff there, right? Where'd they go?
$20,000 starting bid -- good luck to him.

Yes, its the alpina digital gauge cluster ad on. Last I hear they were still available and were well over 500 bucks. I'd probably sell a kidney to get one.

Is that center console trim piece something I'd be able to get only from BMW or are there aftermarket parts? I've been looking for something other than the normal flat piece I have around my manual gear lever.

I really don't know. I haven't started looking yet. I suspect that particular part is only available from BMW or someone selling genuine BMW parts (e.g. BMA). It's an M5 part, although I don't know if all M5s have it. I think not.
What I like best about that part is that, by effectively raising the height of the center console, it makes even the stock shifter look shorter.

it does make it look shorter. And its more functional, the storage etc. I'll check if I can find it on realoem.com, perhaps a part number or such...

Oh, I know the part number. It's 51 16 22 36 8 93. Let me know if you find it, and the price, please.

Since you had the part number...you could have easily found the info using realoem.com...there is a part cross-reference link at the bottom of the HOME page (it says "search by part #)...it allows you to enter the 11 or 7 digit part nbr...and you can choose either or both US or Euro: http://www.realoem.com/bmw/partxref.do?part=51+16+22+36+8+93&showus=on&showeur=on
Just click the highlighted link ("details on e34" then the "storing partition" that applies to you) to get to the parts diagram and part number index...happy hunting. :D

Thanks.
It's #31 on this page:
http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts.do?model=HC92&mospid=47387&btnr=51_3025&hg=51&fg=35&hl=642
It says it's $142.85. Pretty steep, but I'll probably do it.
What's the significance of the part name being in red? Does that mean it's unavailable?
Why would the price differ from one color to the next? Fortunately I need black -- the 'cheap' one.

When you search by part number...the part nbr you entered is "highlighted in red" to make it easy to go right to the information. You entered the part nbr for the Schwarz leather depositing box...so it's highlighted from the others. :D
The reason for the price difference is probably do to the type and availablity of the material used. If you check some of the other diagrams...Buffalo leather is also a choice (and costs more). You can see that the material used in the models with cloth interior is a lot cheaper, as well.

Thanks, Q.
Do you mean to say that the "depositing box" is available in leather? Where'd you see that?
I noticed different versions for cloth and leather interiors, but I didn't think that means the box itself was leather.
Can anyone explain?

Bump.
Does anybody know the difference between the piece that's supposedly for cloth interiors and the one that's for leather?
