will 17" X5 wheels fit?

I thought at first you meant 17 X 5. I was picturing very tall Geo metro wheels. I doubt they wil fit.

they will not fit, you will need a 20mm spacer and the fellas here would not advise you to do that.
I made that same mistake about 2 years ago, before I knew anything about this site or Brunno's.
those have a 74.2 center bore on a high offset , and the e34 has 72.56 center bore with a medium offset.
