Hello I have a 1991 525i SE (UK model full closure alarm factory fitted) and I went through a car was that does the under body as well, got home pressed the alarm fob no problem car was locked and alarmed as normal.
Later pressed the button on the fob nothing, so changed battery in the fob still no joy, disconnected the battery and left for a while to see if it would re-set still nothing.
I have disabled the alarm with the key, does anyone know what could be wrong and if i hold the key in the lock to the deadlock position is the engine still immobilised.
Any help much appreciated.
