Rear strut assy horizontal for 2 hours -- is this OK?

Bentleys says if you leave the strut not upright for 'any length of time' that you should store upright w/shaft fully extended for at least 24 hours... I removed the strut and let it lie down for about 2 hours... now I'm ready to reinstall assembly into car... bad or ok? Pls advise, thanks. -Rob. (replaced rear strut mounts and the gaskets...was getting real annoying rattles...)
