New Contour Reps!

Finally got my new wheels. 17x8.5 Contour reps with 235/45 17 Avon M550s. A bit over $1000 shipped from Tire Rack. Somewhat heavy, but very nice finish, can't ask for too much considering the price. It was a wonderful feeling to ditch the style 8s with run-out and the shot Pirellis that I had, it rides like a different car.

Nize, after a few thousand miles post your thoughts on the Avons... I have those tires on my E24 but only put like 100 miles on them before storage and wont be driving it till late April and was gonna buy those tires for my E34 soon.

Will do. I love them right now, even with going from 16s to 17s the ride is better, and they're very quiet on the highway. Grip is improved as well. Hopefully they age well.

You have a B&B Exhaust? Do you also have Magnaflow cats? Did you eliminate the center/rear/mid silencer muffler?

Nice looking wheels!!! What was your experience with the Pirelli's you had--
Tomorrow,,my new 17" m5 reps,,,with pirellii's will arrive via UPS- cant wait to replace the stock 15's.

DaCan, you have a PM.

Art, my Pirellis were shot, so it's not all their fault. They were dry rotted and flat spotted, all stuff the PO "forgot" to tell me. I did consider the PZero Nero for my tires, but went with the Avons due to the lower price.

I've been very happy with my M-Contours. They're fairly easy to detail, and I get lost of compliments on them.
