It's a 1985 (Grey market) E24 M6. It's got 6 pot AP Racing 14" brakes up front and 2 pot AP Racing brakes out back. Full custom suspension, adjustable control arms w/ urethane bushings, exhaust, software, igintion system upgrade and reupholstered interior. 18" Breyton wheels. Racing dynamics bodywork (we think). very freaking sick. We park it out front of our shop!

Hmmm... Grey market M635CSI, with the US-spec front bumper and turn signal lenses... :D

Unfortunately the car was EPA/DOT'd... they swapped in different headlight and taillights, no rear fogs, us bumpers, MPH cluster...

the entire dash (error lights/etc) still remain in german though. And believe me, its the Euro motor from the way it hauls complete ass.

Luckily, the front is a lot easier to change than the rear... a Euro bumper, some ellipsoids, and the Euro signal lenses, and you're back in business... but WTF am I talking about?!?! That thing is bad-ass!!!

Fun car :)

We've got one of them that was, at some point, whacked in the front. Kind of amusing because one side has US spec lights on it, while the other is euro.

best, whit

want the euro bumpers and have to cut off the US attachment points to get it to fit. I wonder if they had to make an magical fabrications to get a US bumper on there properly.

I like the 635csi. I was thinking that this might be a nice addition to my Delphin metallic fleet.

The bumper has some modifications to it you can see where they may have re-drilled the radiator support area, but I am not positive. The harness is unwrapped because they had to wire in the sidemarkers, headlamps, etc.

i think the euro motors had a problem with dropping valves unless something was updated, i can't remember what it was or how to tell if it's been fixed as it's been a long time since i looked into it (almost bought a euro m6 with a dropped valve a few years ago) not sure if they had the same harmonic balancer problem the us m motors had so that's something else to look into also

we checked it over - there doesnt seem to be nay valve issue that we can tell. the balancer is REALLY on there. I can't see it falling off like on the US motor.

I love the classic "shark" look of the 6 series. I might be getting this 633csi for free in a few weeks.

I have an old Road n Track issue from mid 80s with a red M6 gracing the cover. I just have to find it, somewhere in this house! If I stumble on it, will scan the article and pictures for posting.

There is a guy about 10 miles away from me, i see the car all the time and my buddy raced it (with me in the car) with his Turbo Talon. The M6 was SCREAMIN!! It beat my buddy then i heard every excuse in the book. I has an M badge on the front and M6 on the back. I really think it is an M6 as it isnt a kids car, i talked to the guy for a moment, didnt get to ask questions. It sounds hella nice and would beat my 535 anyday..

A true classic, beautiful. Someday I will own one of those, as well as a 3.0 CSi. Very nice find. Hopefully the DOT conversion was well done, I know Porsche guys that bought gray market cars and found that the required additional door reinforcements were nothing more than black steel gas pipe welded in. Hell, sometimes it wasn't even welded. Nothing a little time won't fix. Are you guys going to return it to true euro spec?

**** that would of been a improvement over some of the stuff i've seen in euro mercedes over the years, seen em look like they picked up whatever trash was laying around stompped it flat wedged it in the door and cracked a weld on it
