You might look at turbo.mye28.com for some E28 turbo talk. Not exactly the same thing, but there is a lot of knowledge there. It's a place to start.

thanks man, I might be buying an ESS supercharger kit for my ride I think i would be happy to be around 300hp..

I have a Vortech-based SC kit (ERT). Most kits use Vortech SC's except the AA kit which uses a Rotrex charger. All are well put together, just make sure that someone does a really good job on the software (like AA or Conforti, and not like RMS).
Also, Powerdyne and Paxton SCs have been known to have shorter lives than Vortech. I run 5.5psi on an S52, but you can run up to about 8.5 safely on stock motor. I would look into the AA kit, which is rated at 315hp for the 2.5 M50 at 8.5 psi. Good reputation and has a small intercooler also. I see them used for about $3000. Very worthwhile in my opinion. :D
